Grammys Gameshow Using Powercom

In 2012, Adele swept all the Grammy awards which she rightfully deserve. This year’s award ceremony is going to be a little unpredictable. It could an all male club on Sunday.
The fifty fifth Gramm Awards will also show great performances from Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Sting, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, The Black Keys, the Lumineers, Frank Ocean, Fun, Dierks Bentley, Jack White, Mumford & Sons and Dierks Bentley.

There are only four major categories that really count. Check out some of the industry’s predictions:

Best New Category

This is a category that is harder to predict because it has several possibilities. While the current favorite is Frank Ocean, groups like Fun and the Lumineers also have a good chance to win. Hunter Hayes and the Alabama Shakes are also good contenders. Both Fun and the Lumineers have a commercial edge than the other artists, but since Ocean had a meteoric shot to fame, then he might be the winner in this category.

Record of the year

There are plenty of contenders for this category. Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger”, Fun’s “We Are Young,” Black Keys’ “Lonely Boy,” Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” Gotye’s “Somebody that I Used to Know and Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin’ Bout  You.”
Many industry insiders think that the frontrunners for this award are Fun and Frank Ocean. However many people seem to think that it is a tight competition between Black Keys and Gotye. They gained the most popularity among all the artists for this category.

Song of the Year

This award is focused on the songwriters. The possible contenders are: “Call Me Maybe” from Carly Rae Jepsen, “Stronger” from Kelly Clarkson, “The A Team” from Ed Sheeran, “We Are Young” from Fun, “Adorn” from Miguel and a song by Janelle Monae. This could be considered as the category with the less competition. It could come down between Fun and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Album of the year

This is the largest prize to take for the night. In this race are Fun, Mumford & Sons, Jack White, Frank Ocean and Black Keys. The odds are not favorable with Jack White, and many critics think that it will be a race among Fun, Black Keys, Mumford and Frank Ocean.
